Everyone,
I remember as a child gathering all my stuffed animals under the covers with me as I curled up in bed.  I wanted to be sure each one of them was touching me and receiving equal amounts of my love.

Our comments allow us to gather together and and spread our loving thoughts out to everyone sharing Inner Christmas.

I wish everyone a meaningful 2008.
May your thoughts be true, your feelings beautiful and your deeds good.

    Hi,

I'm noticing this first morning of 2008 one of the things that warms me up, feels like both gathering and spreading, nurturing all the way around is this level of connection online. It's so cool to feel people all around the world introspecting and recognizing the things we have in common, our humanity evolving as we move in 2008.

Thank you so much Lynn for providing such an amazing forum and a wonderful direction for contemplation. With heartfelt gratitude,
    Karen

In reflection to gathering and spreading...to bring closure from 2007, I would say that overall last year was a pivotal time for me, great achievements in the area of my career and providing a better future for my family. However, I look forward to 2008 and spreading a more "intimate" and "selfless" spirit. I plan to work towards a greater patience and listening with an open heart. For when we listen, we learn.

Joel Osteen (Author of "Your Best Life Now") sums it up well..."Change your mind; expand your world - To live your best life now, you must begin looking at life through eyes of faith, visualizing the life you want to live."

Happy New Year and may you be blessed with new beginnings!!

    Hugs~

As I woke this morning, the first thing I did was to reread my journal of 2007, which gave me a chance to reflect on the incredible blessings that life has to offer. I would also like to share a poem I wrote about last evening's experience

    Finding God in All Things

    Bursts of light and love
    Bright, colourful, dazzling
Against the darkness of the world
    Explosions of wonder and awe

From within a core of power
Pours forth truth, love and beauty
    Showering above, beyond and below
    Miracles of sight and sound

Renewing faith in life and spirit
    Giving expression beyond words
    Of the majesty,splendour,joy...
The firewrorks on New Year's Eve

Blessings to all as we celebrate all life!!

Gathering and Spreading - reminds me of Reaping and Sowing. Yes, isn't life all about polarities and the choice we have to recognize the Good in all of it? What a challenge to remember it at times. 2008 holds wonderful opportunities in so many aspects. May we be open to receiving all and to be grateful always.

There is so much food for thought, meditation & prayer. I have copied each nite's reflection, so I can continue thruout the year. I also love reading the comments. If anyone would like to continue sharing beyond Jan.6, I would joyfully welcome your e-mails!! I don't know how to set up a blog...if someone is interested...I was part of the 70's "consciousness-raising"--sisterhood IS powerful-those friendships have lasted 35 yrs! This past year has been one of great pain & great growth for me. I have finally learned to embrace the suffering...I know it will bring me to new faith & awareness. I had previously spent a good deal of my life trying to escape pain. Guess what? That never worked!! There are so many polarities yet to consider: love & hate, good & evil, passion & indifference, war (anger) & peace, wealth & poverty,etc.,etc.,etc. For a change I AM looking forward to 2008. Wishing each & every one of you a Blessed New Year!! Bernice... P.S. I LOVE your poetry, Lea...I am amazed at how beautifully you are able to express what I feel! Thanks to all "our" poets! On freedom: All my heroes crossed that line into perfect, eternal freedom to express their true selves, their core values without compromise. Although in most cases it cost them their earthly lives, the pure bliss of their decision could not be taken away from them. Someday I hope to have that kind of courage.
